The University of the Philippines Los Baños-Interdisciplinary Studies Center on Food Security (UPLB ISCFS) is re-announcing the Call for Papers for the First National Food and Nutrition Security Conference on 12-13 October 2015 at the Crimson Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Interested oral presenters are requested to submit papers following the conference theme "The Philippine Food and Nutrition Security Agenda: Setting Strategic Directions and Actions" in the following topics:

- Marketing and Post-Harvest
- Governance of Delivery Systems on Food and Nutrition Security and Food Safety

UPLB, in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Biofuels Research Studies Center, will be holding the 2015 Philippine International Biomass Conference this coming 16-18 June 2015. The event will be held at the Widus Hotel and Casino, Clark Free Port Zone, Pampanga. The theme is "Exploring the market potentials of biomass for bio-based fuel and energy"
The event is also co-organized by the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research, Department of Energy, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management and the UPLB Climate Risk Studies Center will hole a seminar on 02 June 2015, 4:00 PM at the SESAM Lecture Hall. Dr. Josef Settele will discuss "IPCC and IPBES: Experiences and Insights from Intergovernmental Processes in the Fields of Biodiversity and Climate Research."
The UPLB Interdisciplinary Studies Center on Food Security will hold a Roundtable Discussion on "Production Issues on Food Security” on September 26, 2014, 12:45PM at the National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS) Conference Room, Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. This RTD focuses on food availability dimension of food security. While supply is determined by existing production levels, import and stock levels, food availability is faced by far-reaching challenges such as farm productivity which is exceedingly influenced by agro-ecology, technology, socio-economic and other factors.
